Lakeview Baptist Church … Every Day Believing For Greater Things!

God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or dream,

according to His power that works in us.” … Ephesians 3:20

Three years ago this month, Sheila and I were blessed beyond measure when you called me to be your pastor. It still seems like a dream to good to be true! Every one of you have become such a big part of mine and Sheila’s life! I remember after preaching the sermon on the Sunday that you were to vote on me as pastor, walking out on the front porch, pausing and praying … “Lord if it would be Your will, I sure would love being these precious people’s pastor.” Every day since, I have pause at some point and thanked the Lord for allowing me the awesome privilege of being the LBC family’s pastor! Come to think of it, it’s usually more than once during the day!

I honestly believe that one of the greatest blessings a pastor can have is to be in love with the church he pastors! That being said … I am blessed!

Dreams … Visions … Goals … After I shared what we had accomplished toward the Visions-Dreams-Goals of 2014, people once again shared their Visions-Dreams-Goals for our church for 2015. It was so refreshing to hear people open up and share such wonderful ideas of how to make 2015 a great year at LBC! We have many things to work on in the coming months to make our church all it can be for the glory of the Lord. Many people when they showed up were surprised to see a wonderful meal being provided for them by our Kitchen Ministry. Thank you ladies for all you do and thank you LBC family for sharing!

Is it possible that there exists within the Bible a 3,000 year old prophetic mystery that …

·       Stands behind world wars

·       The rise and fall of nations

·       Economic recession and financial collapses

·       Amazing things about September 11th

·       The new “Freedom Tower”

·       The mystery of sevens

·       The future of America

Starting February 14th (Saturday night) at 5:00pm in the fellowship hall, I will be leading a series of studies, questions and discussion on prophecy in the Bible. Prophecy answers so many questions such as … “Why are things like they are? … Are things going to get better? … What good does it do me to know these things?”

I invite you to join with me as we look at some amazing historical and yes future things in a relaxed round table atmosphere in which refreshments and drinks will be provided.

Golden Apples … The Golden Apples ladies ministry will be meeting February 22nd at 4:00 PM in the fellowship hall. This ministry is just for the ladies! It’s a time for the ladies to get together enjoy fellowship, food and grow in the Word. So ladies, mark it down on your calendar as a must time just for you!

Sunday evenings at 5:00 pm … Every time there has been a great move of God … it was preceeded by people praying! We have even witnessed that here at LBC! We have decided that 30 minutes is not long enough for people to share their hearts and then spend some time in prayer, so we have moved our Sunday evening prayer time from 5:30 pm to 5:00 pm. The exception will be on the first Sunday evening of every month as we go to Christian Health for services on that evening.

I hope that you can join us as we go before the Lord in prayer on behalf of our church and witness the mighty things that He will do as a result. If you do not like to pray in front of people, then that is no problem as you will not be asked to do that. We have some who like to attend and pray quietly to themselves and we honor that. Once again, hope to see you in prayer time!

Bad Weather and Service Cancelation … When bad weather comes and threatens the cancellation of our services, a decision will be made as soon as possible by our deacon body and everyone will receive notification. If you receive my emails or texts, then you will receive notification through them. If you do not receive email or text, then you will receive a call from one of the deacons. If you do not receive notification, please contact one of the deacons or myself and we will make sure that you are added and receive future notifications.
